Knocked out
[Mio accidentally starts the broadcasting with a groan and a yawn, then proceeds to rub her face.]
Hey everyone, I am still here in whatever this world is.
[After being asleep for a few days, but here nonetheless. Thankfully she didn't dream about anything so it was just her body recouping rather than the effect of the curse.]
Sorry for not helping, I was...Knocked out. I figure you've walked some distance because I got teleported. I'm probably not far away, but I definitely need an update. Is everyone alright?

You got to sleep your way here?
Screw this. Next time I’m not marching.
no subject
Yeah, apparently I did. Now I would like to know: did you find out new information, or resources, or people -- or anything, really? And also I'd like to know what the new objective is. I want to get back on track immediately.
no subject
The new objective is to get an entire infirmary to Rivendell before they turn into Tolkien zombies and eat our faces.
Old objectives are also still in play.

Usually, something tries. I'm as surprised as you are.
[Should she warn him?]
If you see a topless ghost lady with a hakama and covered head to toe in a blue snake tattoo, run. No questions asked.

The next time you fall asleep, we’re tying someone to you so you don’t get left behind. Who do you want?
[ She should have a say in who, more than they need to because they’ll be awake. ]
And… sure. Once I get over the shock of a badass sexy ghost.
no subject
[Tommy's sass is slightly contageous, she has to admit.]
And you better recover from the 'shock' fast, she is faster than she looks. And stronger, too, she can lift you with one hand while she's choking you.
[Beat.]
Not in a sexy way.
[She probably needs to specify by now.]
no subject
[ Normally, he’d be jealous of a calmer homeworld, but hers has sleeping curses and maniacal ghosts so is it calmer, really, or is Mio just an idiot. ]
Ugh. Pass. I like wild chicks, but choking isn’t sexy or fun.
no subject
You said 'one of us'. If any of us has interest in killing teammates then the problem is another.
no subject
[ Tommy’s concept of team involves a critical piece wheee you’re asked to join or play. Maybe your choice isn’t as free as it should be, but it should at least be a shitty choice. Like yeah, Tommy sleeps in the camp, but Mio trusts them all way too much. ]
I’m saying you don’t know if the problem is another or whatever. You can’t trust the whole damn camp. You need a sleep buddy who’s better than everyone else.
no subject
Why, do you have a sleeping buddy? If you have actual advice, I'll be glad to listen.
no subject
[ Actually, by some definitions he would like a sleeping buddy. Just not this definition. ]
I’m not the one with the curse.
no subject
...Right. You know what, go pick a sleeping buddy for me, I trust your judgment.
[The 'shut up' is part of the subtext here.]
no subject
[ And did. ]

[That reply is oozing bitterness, that's for sure]

[Ange visibly has to calm herself down. That Mio is unaware is so ridiculous she suspects she's messing around for whatever reason -- but she asks anyway:]
Are you seriously unaware of how several people here are turning into wraiths?
no subject
[She sighs.]
Is there any helpful tool or something you would like me to find before I get there?
no subject
What's the last thing you remember?
no subject
I was with Tommy. I really needed to sleep, had been up for a few days because--
[Should she tell her about the curse? Probably. Hopefully she won't ask for details.]
Because I'm affected by a sleep curse that made me fall into a coma, back home. As soon as I closed my eyes, I was out for days.

So back at the camp? Okay.
Basically, we found a letter from the Trolls talking about what brought us here and why. It's a bunch of vague stuff, I'll give you the rundown on that in a minute.
So the Trolls told us we need to go to a place called Rivendell because they have more information, but to do so we need to cross a desert.
So we got our stuff together and crossed the desert and came across an abandoned city. We got the chance to rest, but then were attacked by a group of humans who were trying to kidnap us like those freaky ladies back at the fair. Then these other guys showed up, Ringwraiths, and the first group is terrified of them and we quickly learn why.
They're bad news and very hard to fight, so we start running. A bunch of people got injured but luckily the Ringwraiths seem to not like daylight or fire and have kind of left us alone once we got into the woods. Now we shouldn't be too far out from Rivendell, but we've got a lot of injured who're in pretty bad states.

[Mio's hands are already itching with the need to do something.]
I don't have any first aid skills.
[Which she should be ashamed of, given her sister was permanently disabled because of her.]But maybe if I look around I can get something to tend to the wounded, or a new weapon, anything. What do you guys need?
[She also asks, obviously with no subconscious intent to punish herself whatsover:]
What are those new enemies vulnerable to? I still have my Camera Obscura, perhaps I should test it.
no subject
No. They have an aura of cold and fear. If you get stabbed and we don't reach Rivendell in time you'll turn into one of them. Even the strongest among us could barely scratch them.
[Elle isn't trying to scold her, necessarily, but she is trying to make it clear that going after the Nazgul is a terrible fucking idea.]
Don't go looking for them.
If we run into them again, go for it, but for now we need people gathering water and a plant called Athelas. It has a unique scent that's different to each person. It should smell like something comforting that reminds you of home.
I have some so if you want to find me so you can see what it looks like, I'm by the East-most campfire right now.
video --> action
[She was going to argue that she should test the camera, but 'you will turn into one of them' is a compelling enough argument to discourage her. Now that she seemingly can't be separated from her cursed, horrible weapon, it is her responsibility to make sure no one else will need to go through the burden of having to do anything with it.]
Thanks for the update.
[On the way she finds only a small container, so it can't fit much water. Still she fills it when she spots a little fountain, better than nothing. After about fifteen minutes of walking, she finally gets at destination.]
Hello. I brought some water. Sorry it's not much, couldn't find a bigger bottle.
Re: video --> action
Every little bit helps.
[Elle gestures to the much larger pile of empty containers.]
We've got a bunch of empty jars and a handful of pots we can use to sterilize the water. I figure we can set up a campfire near the river so we don't have to lug pots of water across the camp. Would you rather buid the fire or fill and carry the pots?
[Elle isn't sure where Mio's level survival skills lie, so she figures she'll give her some options.]
Re: video --> action
[Mio honestly can't bear the idea of burdening someone else.]
no subject
[Elle loves being able to teach people things.]
First we need to find or clear out a spot that doesn't have much debris or low-hanging branches nearby. We don't want fly-away embers to catch on anything.
Then we'll find stones to make a ring. That'll help keep the fire contained and allow us to place things on top.
[She starts gather medium-sized stones that they can use as she looks for a safe spot to put the fire.]
no subject
Like this?
no subject
Just like that!
[She starts moving closer to the river. It's not too far from where they are now.]
So like I said, somewhere dry without anything flammable on the ground or nearby.
no subject
[It's small talk but it makes the conversation flow better, and distracts her from her own concerns.]
no subject
[There was working electricity, because Glasswalkers can't live without it, but there was a lot of anachronistic technology as well. Knowing how to make a fire was a must.]

Just trying to help where I can. Plus, I have no clue how to exorcise ghosts or deal with curses. We've all got a skillset that we can share with others.
no subject
[She shows the Camera Obscura.]
I chooses you based on...I don't know what reason.
no subject
Plus, you've dealt with ghosts and curses? That information could come in handy at some point. Who knows what's gonna get thrown at us.
no subject
[She looks down at the camera once again.]
You know, my uncle's colleague is actually a descendant of the inventor of this thing.
