Taking stock.
[Nog's on the mirror with a few sheets of paper and his crayon, writing something down.]
So, with a group this size sooner or later we're going to start needing keeping an inventory of what we have on hand. Food, weapons, ammunition, medical supplies and who has what, that sort of thing. Strictly speaking it's not exactly necessary at the moment, but otherwise there's no reason not to do it.
[Nog pauses. There's probably going to be at least a couple of objections, and Nog wouldn't blame anybody who had some. There's no reason to trust him or anybody else at the moment.]
This voluntary, by the way. If there's something you don't want me to know you have, I'll respect that. As long as you aren't planning on using it to hurt anyone here.

[Dean has been keeping quiet for a while, still feeling awkward and embarrassed over the whole 'demon outing' thing that most people got a front row seat to, but he figured this was one way to make a show of good faith.
Not that he's completely sold on the not-exorcising-the-literal-demon thing, but he figures he has a little time to figure that out.]

[Nog puts the holy water on the list, and then pauses for a second. Pressing Dean for help may or may not be a good idea, but it is the quickest way to get a particular bit of work done.]
Can I ask you for a favor? You'd probably have the best idea of what food was consecrated. Can you track down what's left and keep it separated from the rest? I'd appreciate it.
[They could still use the food, they just needed to make sure it didn't get mixed in with anything Crowley or Tommy were going to eat.]

[He tries to be diplomatic about it.]
Not that I think, ah, that the lad would be dishonest about it at this point but it'd be easy to have some slip through. I also don't know if we'll ever have anyone else here that tries to slip me something.
Even if this current group doesn't have anyone like that, someone new might come along, the way I joined you all later.
If possible, I'd like to maybe keep an eye on my own food supply. You know, hang around when it's being prepared to see how it's being made or... [He pulls a face, thinking of having to actually do gross things with his hands] Help? With...whatever it is you do to make it edible? With your hands?
And maybe just take whatever's mine to keep close at hand. You can always look at what we have total and decide what's my fair share. I can take it up front and just ration it for myself.
You know, demonic farm to table.
[It's not that he distrusts everyone...but he distrusts everyone.]
Starting now. With...anything else I eat.

If you need any food before then, I've got plenty of dried grubs and crickets on hand. Of that's the kind of thing you'd find appetizing, anyways. I know for a fact they never touched the brine.
