I understand this isn't the regular state of affairs in the Human Nonsense Zone, but there were no adults on Alternia. Adults had badass, important, galaxy-conquering shit to do that didn't involve wading through knee-high wigglers and maladjusted pre-pupescents.

I don't actually know any adults. Unless by "know" you mean "have been vaguely almost murdered by or seen from a distance," in which case there may be some argument to be made if I hated myself enough.
