after the event
Okay, if you were at the faire and are now at the camp, speak up. I want to get a head count.
I'm Tex, by the way. I'm not the leader or anything, I just want to get things a little bit organized.

[That's largely because he stayed at the faire a long-ass time, right up until the place was nearly abandoned and swarming with monsters. And he only cut out then without checking it was entirely clear because Tim was not doing so good and needed help getting out.]
[He sets his mirror to float a few feet away as he works on picking little burs out of his muddy jeans, his expression annoyed that they actually hurt, what the fuck. He hates not having invulnerability.]
Ow. My name's Kon-El, Kon for short, hi.
So three questions: One, what are we doing about building a fire tonight and setting watches for the Sanderson sisters and what I assume are some sub-species of slenderman?
Two, what are we doing about getting supplies and stuff tomorrow when it's safer to gather them? We'll have to organize that.
Three, where the hell are we going after this? Because that weird teleportation thing sure seemed to group us all together. It might have to be a "we" thing.
And four, does anyone happen to have an extra shirt? This is 100% cotton - or like...80% cotton since 20% of it got shredded off, and it's feeling a little chilly right now. I sweated right through everything I'm wearing.

I can keep a watch. Not alone, ideally, but I don't think I'll be able to sleep tonight. Is there a plan for if they are managing to follow? I can fly back a ways to scout, but obviously that precludes keeping watch.
[Also he's getting tired, but he thinks he can manage if he glides at a leisurely pace instead of doing all that diving and takeoffs and passengers and dodging trees.]
And if you're truly desperate, I still have what I was assigned on the Rig. My preferred human morph is probably smaller than you are, though.
Voice.

Re: [crayon]
And even if you could lend it for a little while, it'd help to have something to change into until I can try to find something else. A dry shirt is better than a wet shirt, even if it's too small.
What Rig are you talking about, though?

This is a crude way to communicate. I'm willing to tell you, but I'd prefer to do so in person. Where are you?

Can't do much 'bout de shirt, but I can let you borrow my coat 'til you warm up, at least.

I'll look for de guy dat ain't got much shirt left. You look for de guy wit' de trench an' weird eyes. Figure we'll manage dat way.

[ It's not patronizing. The face is a robot, but the voice is definitely just An Adult feeling like somebody should be checking up on this. Cayde's mirror bobs along because he's talking and walking at the same time. He feels so sharp and alert and useful it's amazing ]
In the event that you are alright, I think we've got some woodcraft on this team. And by that, I mean I know we do because we got me. There's enough of us we should be able to set watches, but I don't know about lighting a fire 'til we're sure we're clear of new friends. Hopefully this whole "go north" thing solves that little problem.
Oh, speaking of friends: [ Cayde's voice gets a little louder. ] Let's be clear to anyone paying attention: Any of you tries to stab me, know that I myself am a master class stabber and you will regret it.
[ Cayde shoots the possible mirror audience a scowl that is equal parts playful and enough to make one think he'd probably follow through on it. ]
As for the duds? [ His attention focuses back on Kon ] Sorry, only packed for me.

[He smiles at Cayde threatening to stab any monsters that just so happen to be eavesdropping.]
And I'm fine. [He realizes if someone's asking he must have enough blood on his face to be worrying and wipes it off.]
I didn't want to leave until everyone was out of there.
I may have lost my powers, but back home when there's a crisis, it's usually first in, last out with the crowd I roll with. My cousin's the guy we all look up to and he's usually the very last one to leave. I try to follow his example.

[ Cayde has his own Big Blue back home he's thinking of. ]
Good instincts, so long as you watch yourself. Hopefully we get ourselves to a secure point, I'm worried about more than just you being cold out here.
